Apricot

The apricot is a subtropical fruit which originates from China and Central Asia and has been raised for 4000-5000 years. The apricot is a fruit with a stone, and has slight  'fuzz' on the peel. It grows on the apricot tree which has white flowers. Apricots which have been raised in South Africa and Turkey are used for apricot spread marmalade. They are harvested in December and January as well as in August and September.
